How to Create a Freestanding Invoice from Patient 360

Create a Freestanding Invoice from Patient 360

You can create an invoice from three different areas in the platform:

  • From the Financial View
  • From the Schedule View
  • Directly from the Patient 360

This article walks you through how to create a freestanding invoice from the Patient 360 view where billing isn’t linked to a specific appointment. You’ll learn how to manually generate an invoice directly from the patient’s profile, add services or products, define payment terms (including instalments), and either send the invoice via the Adoreal app or take payment on the spot.

Use this guide when:

  • You want to bill outside of a scheduled consultation or surgery.

Other ways to create an invoice:

Use when creating an invoice based on appointment - "How to Create an Invoice from an Appointment"

Use when creating an invoice not tied to a specific appointment - "How to Create an Invoice from the Financials View"

Step-by-Step

1. Navigate to the patient's Patient360 and click "Invoices" in the left-side menu.

2. Click on "Create Invoice"

3. Fill in the patient and appointment information. Don't forget to select both Location and Provider.

4. Add a service or a product for the invoice

5. Note: If there are no services, or the correct service isn't showing, please double-check that you've filled in the correct location and provider in the left-side menu.

6. Then choose the appointment type, for example, a Consultation.

7. And set the due date

8. You can also add instalments if the patient should pay a down-payment, for example.

9. You can choose to set the instalments to either a fixed sum or a percentage.

10. When everything is ready, click "Send"

11. You'll have the option to either send the invoice to the patient, and they will be able to pay it in the Adoreal app.

They will be notified that they have an invoice to pay.

12. You can also pay it directly, if the patient is standing before you.

13. In the Patient360, you'll now see the invoice and it's status. It will automatically change to "Paid" when the patient has paid.
