Edit an invoice

An invoice stays editable from the moment it's created until its service date passes. While it's editable, you can add or remove services, change quantities or prices, and take payments. Payments already made stay as they are after an edit, and the outstanding balance adjusts accordingly.

An invoice locks automatically once its service date has passed — you don't need to do anything to trigger this. Once locked, no further changes can be made to its services or amounts, but the patient can still pay any remaining balance.

⚠️ Important: If the service date is set to today or to a date in the past, the invoice locks immediately. To keep it editable, create the invoice with the service date set to tomorrow. Once all necessary edits have been made, change the service date back to today and the invoice will lock.
