Deactivate a Service
If you have a service that you don’t want to be visible to your team or patients, you can deactivate it. Deactivating a service removes it from the booking widget for patients and hides it from the internal service list unless you choose to show inactive services.
✅ This is useful for:
- Services that are temporarily unavailable
- Services you’re still setting up
- Services you no longer offer
⚠️You can safely deactivate a service even if it has future appointments. Both you and the patient can still access the appointment and join the call if it's virtual. Patients can pay invoices for deactivated services, and the clinic can reschedule it. However, if you cancel the appointment to change the location, the service won't be available to book again.
Step-by-Step
1. Go to "Settings"
2. Click on "Location Management"
3. Click on "View Details" for the location where you want to deactivate a service
4. Click on "Services"
5. Click on "View Details" for the service you want to deactivate
6. Untick the "Active" box to remove the service from the Services List for you and your team
7. Untick the "Visible on Marketplace" box to make the service no longer visible or bookable for patients
8. Click on "Save"
9. Click on "Confirm"
10. You can now see that the service is no longer listed or visible
11. Click on "Show Inactive"
12. You’ll be able to see the service here. Click on "View Details" if you want to change it back
13. Click the "Active" box to make the service appear again
14. And, click the "Visible on Marketplace" to make it visible and bookable for patients
15. Click on "Save"
16. Click on "Confirm"
17. The service is now visible again in the list
